Gold vermeil, pronounced "ver-may," is a high-quality type of gold plating which invovles a thick layer of gold on top of .925 sterling silver. It meets US standards with a minimum of 2.5 microns of gold, making it both goegeous and hypoallergenic. The thicker gold plating in vermeil ensures a longer-lasting piece of jewelry than a gold plated piece of jewelry.

All of our gold vermeil jewelry also features an e-coating which is a technology that electronically bonds the gold on top of the sterling silver, rendering it longer lasting and even more durable than traditional vermeil jewelry.
