Everyone in my studio is going wild over these island embossed keepsake bowls! Perfect for jewelry, wrapped candies, tiny treasures or other sweet whatnots, these small handmade pottery bowls make a unique gift for any island lover.
Each bowl is unique and lovingly handcrafted by Helayne Cohen on Martha's Vineyard. Helayne melts "my" glass beads onto her pottery to create these beautiful bead bowls, as she calls them. (Helayne kept a few of these special bowls for herself and uses them to keep beads in while she's crafting at home). The bowls are fired to 2232 degrees Fahrenheit in her kiln, creating unique splashes of sea inspired colors.
Helayne makes her bowls in the following color mixes. No two are exactly alike and yours will not look exactly like the image but will be the same shape and color family.
- Teal with other shades of blue
- Violet and cobalt
- Cobalt
Each bowl is approx. 4 inches in diameter and 1 inch high. Due to the crackled nature of the surface, these bowls are not suitable for food.

Soy candles hand made locally on Martha's Vineyard by Vineyard Wick and Bath. 4 oz. "travel tin" size. These handmade candles make a great hostess gift or offer a fragrant way to transport you back to the island.
Below are the fragrance notes for each blend:
Hydrangea - Delightful gardenia intertwines with white floral notes and fresh-cut greenery notes. Fresh bamboo and sweet apple water blend together to enhance and complete this stunning fragrant blend.
Mermaid - Inspired by the Northern California coastline, Bergamot, sea salt, beach sage, eucalyptus, jasmine and lavender on a base of sea grass, white cedar, amber and rosewood.
The Vineyard - Is a camphoraceous blend of herbs, lavender, and aromatic woods. Sage, rosemary, and chamomile awaken the earthiness of lavender, while hints of sandalwood and cedar in the base are reinforced by clove, lavandin, and cedarwood essential oils.
Wash Ashore - With top notes of Pistachio and Almond, middle notes of Heliotrope and Jasmine, and base notes of Caramel, Vanilla, Salt, and Sandalwood.
