I am so honored to have received the 2022 Score Small Business Excellence Award! This year, the award was especially recognized businesses that survived and thrived in 2022. We were very happy to have been nominated by Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce, and I attended the breakfast with their very own Guinevere Cramer.
The Score 2022 Small Business Awards Breakfast and Ceremony was held on October 26th in Yarmouth, MA on Cape Cod. There, I had the opportunity to meet other Cape and Island businesses, nonprofits and thought leaders, chamber of commerce representatives, and even MA State Senator, Julian Cyr! There was one other attendee from Martha’s Vineyard, Holly Bellebuono, the winner of Nonprofit of the Year, Martha’s Vineyard Center for Education and Training (formerly known as ACE MV).

Each Chamber on the Cape and Islands nominated one business and one small business of the year, nonprofit of the year, and small business champion, and the awards themselves were presented by State Senator Julian Cyr. Seantor Cyr has been a strong supporter of small businesses on Martha's Vineyard and it was an honor to meet him and receive this award from him. While Julian Cyr already loves and visits Martha's Vineyard regularly, I extended a personal invitation for him to visit the island and check out my store!

I’m now planning to start an onboarding program with SCORE and will soon be doing their mentoring and and subject matter expert training so I can help other local businesses. I'm so honored and proud of my team that we were nominated and then won this award.
