I am excited about this new collection of oyster jewelry dishes that is a collaboration between Grit and Grace and a gifted artist named Laura Lobdell. The crab, sea turtle and coral designs are reproductions of watercolor paintings by Laura of Printed Hues. We also carry her tea towels which are decorated with her beautiful watercolor paintings of oysters.
Conjure memories of the ocean year-round with the Gilded Seascapes Collection of decoupage jewelry dishes. These elegantly gilded oysters are a natural accent for your home, perfect for use as a jewelry dish, mini soap dish, salt holder, ring dish, or as a beach treasure holder. These golden beach treasures are the ideal present for the beach-lover and make the perfect "something blue" for the soon-to-be bride!
This collection of watercolor seascapes features some of our favorite things about the Coastal Carolinas. Gift the delicate coral or nautilus shell ring dish to the bride-to-be as an elegant engagement gift. The striking lionfish print, speckled crab, or marine turtle make the perfect statement piece for any table in your home.
These decoupaged oyster shell dishes have been hand decorated with delicate designs, reminiscent of the elegance of fine china, and sealed with a food-safe clear coat.
Each shell comes in a beautiful gift box with the message “The World Is Your Oyster!”. All packaging is eco-friendly and the crinkle paper is 100% recycled. Each is found in nature and no two are exactly alike, though each measures approximately 3.5” by 2.5”.
The shells are collected and recreated by a woman-owned business based in Charleston, SC. Great efforts are made to ensure proper shell collection and recycling processes and they have saved tons of shells from landfills, repurposing them into these artful keepsakes.
About Laura Lobdell
I create coastal-inspired art and products. It’s my hope that by bringing my art into your home, you’ll feel transported back to your favorite coastline; perhaps treasuring a piece I’ve created as you’ve once treasured gifts collected from the sea.
A little about me...
I began my career in graphic design, and much of what I do today is rooted in and well served by my extensive design background. On any given day, you may find me creating a new painting, sketching plans for future collections, or gathering inspiration by the sea. Much of my art is influenced by my coastal surroundings. I live and work in the Wilmington, North Carolina area with my husband and our two creative, ocean loving children.
